Q: Doesn't having a surgical assistant add to the cost of the surgery?
A: While there are costs associated with adding a surgical assistant to the team, the improved efficiency reduces O.R. time and costs in comparison with a physician who operates solo or asks a partner to assist.
Q: Who pays for the surgical assistant?
A: CSA bills the insurance carriers when possible. If our services are
not covered by insurance, CSA has negotiated contracts with hospitals and
out-patient facilities. Compass Surgical does not balance bill patients or their
physicians.
Q: Who certifies you?
A: We only hire professionals certified by the following associations:
